The White Tibetan A is a technique described in the book "The Yoga of Dreams" by Namkhai Norbu. It allows us to have a lucid dream and then go out to the astral. This technique is based on 4 steps which we must do every day, in the 4 moments of the day (when we get up, during the day, at evening and bedtime). A lucid dream is one in which the dreamer knows he is dreaming. Usually, they are very rare and it is considered that there are people liable to experience them. It is not the same to wake up saying "I said, that would be a dream" that during sleep clearly know that you are dreaming and you can even move at will in the dream. This experience involves a high rate of mental energy, and therefore, those who meditate often have lucid dreams with some frequency; even more if meditation is a common practice.
The projection or astral travel can be performed by any person who practices the proper technique. There are two types of astral projection: The involuntary and voluntary. The first we do it every night at sleep, we leave the physical body, this step is a prerequisite for the physical body to regenerate and recover from daily wear, and launch self-healing mechanisms, when the mind stops controlling everything. Usually we are not aware of how it is performed. The second is a developed faculty, as it is done voluntarily and in conscious state and of course is not easy to achieve and the people who can make it generally use it for altruistic purposes, such as spiritual help and healing.
